The Certified U.S. Import Compliance Officer Certification develops an advanced working knowledge of importing, emphasizing compliance with U.S. Customs Regulations. Introduces terms of sale used in international trade, with a focus on all thirteen items of sale under Incoterms 2000. Demonstrates the advantages of partnering with the U.S. Government’s Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism Program (C-TPAT), which works with importers on how to reduce security-orientated inspections by U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Instructor designs discussions and assignments to guide the student with practical applications of the C-TPAT requirements. Explains the forces that shape business ethics and explores topics of managing importation of goods into a country.
