Recognized and respected as “The ITAR Specific Certification.” A practical education for today’s extensive compliance regulations with US Munitions List controlled exports of products and services.
The Certified ITAR Professional® Certification assures employers that an individual has an expert working knowledge of exporting and importing under the U.S. Department of State’s International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). The knowledge base for this certification focuses on controlled defense products and services, initiating and administering ITAR Agreements, identifying and claiming ITAR exemptions, recognizing and implementing internal and external corporate compliance audits. The CIP certification denotes mastery of a wide array of skills, including the ability to recognize potential ITAR violations, to develop proper export record keeping practices, to help mitigate potential DDTC consent agreements and financial/civil penalties and to develop company export compliance processes and design an organization’s Technology Control Plan. Individuals earning this certification have reached the highest industry certification level reflecting their expert knowledge of all aspects of the ITAR regulations.

*While the topics addressed in the TRD-307 course are not directly tested on the certification exam, EAR prior knowledge is strongly recommended within the course of study for the Certified ITAR Professional®.
